Mahindra showcases its multiple range of world class Mobility & Farming solutions at the Indo-Bangla Auto Show in Dhaka
· Displays a set of “Built in Bangladesh” automotive products - small commercial vehicles Jeeto-Human Hauler and Scorpio Double Cab.
· Marks a re-entry into the personal segment with the launch of its category defining SUVs – Scorpio and Nuvo Sport.
· Re-affirms the philosophy of “Farm Tech Prosperity” for the farmers of Bangladesh with an Agri Zone and tractor display
February 2, 2017, Dhaka: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a part of the US $ 17.8 billion Mahindra Group, today showcased its multiple range of products spanning across mobility, farm and transportation solutions at the 1st ever Indian OEM Auto Show in Bangladesh. Held in association with Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and the Chamber of Commerce India & Bangladesh, the Expo is primarily focused towards increasing trade relations of automotive businesses between the two countries of India-Bangladesh.
The Mahindra stall was inaugurated BY Mr. Arvind Mathew, Senior Vice President – International Operations, Mahindra & Mahindra., Mr. Sanjay Jadhav, Vice President, Head of International Operations - (South Asia), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, along with the leaders of trusted distributor partners – Ms. Raima Chowdhury, GFC,Karnaphuli Ltd., Mr. RomoRouf Chowdhury, MD, Rancon Autos, and Mrs. Sohana Chowdhury, MD, RangsMotors Ltd. and other senior company officials and dignitaries. The Mahindra pavilion displayed a set of “Built in Bangladesh” automotive products in the small commercial vehicle segment - Jeeto-Human Hauler, a passenger variant of the model with 10+1 seating capacity and the Scorpio Pick Up, an ideal people and material mover. The product displayed in the personal vehicle segment included – the New Generation Scorpio, with its aggressively styled exteriors and plus interiors and the NuvoSport, the sporty and feature rich SUV. This also marked the company’s re-entry into the personal vehicle segment with these two category defining SUVs. The display in the transportation and mobility space also included Traco 40, a truck from the Mahindra stable, Centuro, its popular motorcycle, and recently launchedEarthMaster Backhoe Loader from Mahindra Construction Equipment business and Powerol, Mahindra’s offering in diesel generators.
With its vision to deliver FarmTech Prosperity to positively impact the lives of the farmers in Bangladesh, the Mahindra pavilion recreated an Agri zone. The Agri Zone showcased the technologically advanced Mahindra YUVO tractor alongside a tractor from the Swaraj brand. It also had a Samriddhi Centre, Mahindra’s flagship initiative to deliver relevant inputs and agri counselling on agronomy solutions at every stage of the agriculture value chain.
